Since opening in 1861 St Marys Hall has seen some major changes from being a place of worship until 1975 then revolutionized to its current status as parish hall. In 1975  it had been the home of the parish scout troop and badminton groups for years and has seen many concerts down through the years from ‘Barnbrack’ to ‘Hugo Duncan’ also several plays such as the ‘lament of the Irish immigrant’ and various parish occasions:  first communion, confirmation and funeral teas.

The Hall is currently used for Irish dancing, bowling, Slimming World, Dancing, Zumba and can be hired for discos and birthdays.  In October of 2009 the hall also had some modernisation disabled access and new toilet amenities. New Kitchen facilities were provided and the hall was reopened after this work by Bishop Donal McKeown auxiliary bishop of Down and Connor in May 2010, St Mary’s hall has an entertainments licence, which can cater for any social occasion and can hold up to 300  people at any one time. The Hall celebrates its 150th Anniversary since its opening in October 2011.
