Fr. Brendan Smyth

Fr. Brendan was born in Downpatrick, and was ordained in St Patricks Church Downpatrick by Bishop Michael Dallet RIP on 26th June 1994. He first served in St Agnes Parish in Belfast. in 1996 he on went to the Parish of Ramoan (Ballycastle) where he spent five years, before moving to St Peters Cathedral. He went on to serve in the Parish of Glenavy and Killead in 2009. In 2013 Fr Brendan was appointed Parish Priest of Holy Trinity in Belfast where he spent three years before coming to Killyleagh on 28th October 2016.

Fr. Eugene O'Neill PP
Fr. Eugene is from County Antrim since ordination he has served in Ballymena Parish, St Brigids Derryvolgie Ave Belfast, and to Glengormley parish as Curate. Fr Eugene was appointed by Bishop Noel Treanor DD, as Parish Priest of Killyleagh on 6th September 2012. On 9th September 2014 he was appointed as Parish Priest Of Crossgar (Kilmore) Parish in addition to Killyleagh Parish. In October 2016 Fr Eugene became Administrator to St Patrick's Donegal Street in Belfast.

Fr. Colum Curran
Fr. Colum is a native of Newcastle. After ordination he served in Derriaghy, (a brief stay
in England), Ballycastle, Chaplain to the Mater Hospital, St. Bernadette’s, & Greencastle, before coming to Killyleagh in October 2009. On 6th September 2012 Fr Colum was appointed priest in residance Lower Mourne (Ballymartin) then in August 2013 he went to Mater Dei Church, (Crumlin Co. Antrim) also as priest in residence. He retired in 2014 as Priest in residence in Lower Mourne (Ballymartin) where he had previously served.

Canon Alex McMullan
Canon Alex was born in Glenarm County Antrim in 1941 he studied at St Mac Nissi’s Dioceian College (Garron Tower) On leaving Garron Tower he started his formation to priesthood in the juniour seminary at St Malachys College and also at Queens Univerisity Belfast after Graduating obtaining a BA in Geography he progressed to St Patricks Seminary Maynooth. Down and took over the pastrol duties of Parish Priest of that parish in September 1993 he was also Episcopal Vicar to the sick and retired Priests of the Diocese. He was appointed PP of Portrush in 1997 before coming to Killyleagh in 2008for one year in which in touched the hearts of so many parishinors expecially the sick and housebond. In october 2009 he retired to take up the post of Curate in Cushendun where he remained until his death on 23rd April 2014 RIP

Fr. Paul Strain
Fr. Paul is a native of the Parish of St Colmcille's, Dundonald. Since ordination in 1985 he was appointed to assist in the Parish of St John the Evangelist on the Falls Road whilst studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in St Mary's University College.
In 1986 he was appointed full time chaplain with deaf people in the Diocese of Down and
Connor and worked from St Joseph's Centre. In 1989 he was appointed to work in the Cathedral (St Peter's) on a part-time basis whilst continuing as Chaplain with deaf people. In 1995 he received an appointment in St Paul's as a part-time curate. In the year 2000 he was installed as Parish priest of Killyleagh where he ministered for eight years. On the 23rd of October 2008 he returned to St John's Parish, this time as Parish Priest. In August 2013 Bishop Noel Treanor asked Fr Paul to become the Administrator to Holy Family Parish in Belfast where he currently ministers.

Fr. Sean Cahill
Fr. Sean was born in Teconnaught (Kilmore Parish) in 1938. He was educated at St
Patricks Grammar School Downpatrick, Queens University and St Patricks College, Maynooth, where he was ordained to the priesthood in1962.
Since Ordination he served in Kilclief 1963-1966, Dominican Convent, Falls Road
Belfast 1966–1970, St Josephs Deaf Centre 1966-1984 and was advisor in religious
education to the diocese before coming to Killyleagh in 1994. He was appointed to Castlewellan (Kilmegan) on 9th August 2000. On 6th September 2012 he was then appointed as curate in Upper Mourne (Kilkeel)

He was Educated Stella Maris PS, St James PS, St Malachy's College, Belfast he then furthered his studies in St Peter's College, Wexford and St Patrick's College Maynooth. He was Ordained, June 25th, 1989 in St. Peter's Cathedral Belfast by the then Bishop of Down and Connor Cathel Daly RIP (later Cardinal Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland)
His first appointment was curate to Downpatrick Sept 1989 - February 1990,
