Parishes of Kilmore & Killyleagh
Baptisms in our Parishes take place in a scheduled Church each month - Parish Office will confirm dates and times - on a Sunday (though this can be subject to change). Baptisms may be booked in the parish office from Tuesday to Thursday 2pm to 5pm, or alternitivly by filling the form below allowing 5 working days after receiving this form for confirmation of booking, Baptisms may only be booked by the mother or both parents of the child and you must bring the long civil birth certificate in order to arrange a Baptism. At least four weeks notice is required.

Parents and godparents of children to be baptised must attend a short preparation session which usually takes place during the week before the Baptism.

** Parents are reminded that the necessary forms must be completed and submitted prior to the baptism with the child’s long birth certificate. **

**ALL COVID-19 REGULATIONS MUST BE OBSERVIED IN CHURCH i.e wearing of facemasks and solcial distancing where approprite ***

Residents outside of the parish boundaries, parents are welcome to bring their child back to the Church of the parents Baptism, but they must bring their own priest to perform the Baptism which MUST BE confirmed via the Parish Office.

The Parish office will be in contact to arrange date of Baptism (Please allow 5 working days) after receiving this form.

    Please note long birthcertificate MUST be presented in person to Parish office no later than two weeks before the ceremony. Without this the ceremony will NOT take place
    ** there can only be two Sponsors on ANY baptism record **
    It is customary to give the baptism offering to the priest at the ceremony
